Chief Medical Informatics Officer
Arta Bakshandeh, DO, MA, is the chief medical informatics offer at Alignment Healthcare, a population health management company that partners with health systems and provider groups across the country to improve the health of seniors. In this role, Dr. Bakshandeh is tasked with the development and implementation of Alignment Healthcare's clinical caremodel, data analytics platform and home monitoring programs for patients with chronic diseases. He is also assistant clinical professor of internal medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC), where he lectures physician assistant students in the USC Physician Assistant Program. Prior to joining Alignment, Dr. Bakshandeh served as regional medical director for CareMore Health Plan's Medicare-Medicaid business in California and Virginia. Dr. Bakshandeh received his medical degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He earned his B.S. in cellular and developmental biology and master's degree in molecular, cellular and developmental biology with an emphasis in molecular genetics from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
