Mubashir Ahmed Profile Photo

Mubashir Ahmed is a first year Physician Associate student with an undergraduate degree in BSc (Hons) Clinical Sciences. Since his undergraduate degree, Mubashir has been actively involved in mentoring students. This commitment inspired him to establish an initiative across various private schools, aimed at supporting and guiding students via mentorship programmes and workshops. This provided students with a structured framework for academic and personal development, offering tailored support to students. Alongside this, he takes part in various community outreach projects for youth to promote inclusivity between children of different ethnicities.

Alongside his studies as a Physician Associate student, Mubashir is the secretary of Muslim Association of Physician Associates and Students (MAPAS), a Caucus of the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA). He envisions expanding MAPAS to the UK, to build an international community of PAs to enhance professional networking and support between PAs from different ethnicities and backgrounds, thus allowing individuals to build cultural competence.

Mubashir’s interest and hobbies include playing Cricket, as well as maintaining his fitness through gym. Additionally, he finds relaxation in nature, often taking long walks and appreciate the natural world, thus, allowing him to clear his mind with refreshing breaks.
