Nina Multak, PhD, MPAS, PA-C, DFAAPA is the Associate Dean and Randolph B. Mahoney Director of the University of Florida School of Physician Assistant Studies.
She received her doctoral training from the Drexel University College of Computing and Informatics. Her clinical experience includes obstetrics and gynecology, ophthalmology and cardiovascular and thoracic surgery.
Nina Multak has spent more than 30 years focusing on PA education and has held previous faculty appointments where she also taught PA students including Drexel University, NOVA Southeastern University, and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is a graduate of the Hahnemann University Physician Assistant Program. Her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies was awarded from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine with an emphasis on educational innovation for physician assistant students.
She is a huge patient safety advocate and dedicated to using experiential learning through simulation to achieve ideal patient outcomes. Nina enjoys teaching PA students and PA faculty using simulation based medical education to achieve competencies. Recently she served on the Board of Directors of the international Society for Simulation in Healthcare as the first PA to hold a leadership role in this professional organization. Nina Multak completed a term as the Technology and Education feature editor for the Journal of Physician Assistant Education. She is a current member of the PAEA research leadership team and serves on the Research Mission Advancement Commission for the Physician Assistant Education Association.
Her current interests include supporting the PA community to successfully learn how to incorporate AI into their work and supporting educators to offer “precision education” by leveraging data to individualize training and assessment.
